Jess is a Research Associate at the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA), where she has played a key role in leading and coordinating research for the international Stroke and Cognition Consortium (STROKOG) for the past eight years. With a strong background in Medical Statistics and extensive experience as a biostatistician, including work on clinical trials at King’s College London, Jess’s current research focuses on vascular cognitive impairment and dementia. She is particularly interested in identifying modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline, examining the trajectory of cognitive function in stroke survivors using data from international consortia, and investigating ethno-regional differences in post-stroke cognitive outcomes. Her work aims to provide health professionals with evidence-based strategies to prevent or delay the onset of dementia, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.
